The estate encompasses 110 Hectares of prime property located in the prestigious Helderberg region of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Comprising 26 Hectares of Vineyards, 10 Hectares of Indigenous Gardens, 10 Hectares of Manicured paddocks attached to a World Class Equestrian Indoor Arena, followed by a 3300 square metre public building facility which houses a 100 seater Restaurant, 350 seater Banqueting facility, 600 square metre Retail Art Gallery, Luxury Boutique and Wine Tasting Facility.
The restaurant at Cavalli Estate is the first Green Star rated restaurant and exhibition space in the country recently awarded its 4 star rating by the GBCSA. Designed by the Architectural Team of Lauren Smith and Bouwer architects, this project was recently awarded the Great Wine Capitals Best of Wine Tourism award for Architecture and Landscapes in Bilbao. The passively designed building uses a Geo- exchange system incorporating the dam to heat and cool, Solar Energy and a waste water treatment plant to recycle 93% of the estates water along other initiatives to encourage sustainability.
