MEET THE NEW CAVALLI ROSÉ: EVERYDAY ELEGANCE, BOTTLED
Some bottles are saved for later. This isn’t one of them.
There are wines we keep for birthdays, anniversaries and tables booked weeks in advance.
And then there are the wines that somehow become part of our lives.
The bottle opened because friends arrived unexpectedly. The glass poured while dinner is still being decided. The wine that begins with lunch and remains on the table as afternoon quietly becomes evening.
Meet the new Cavalli Rosé 2026.
Crafted from Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsault, our newest release was created around one simple idea:
Every day deserves elegance.
Not only the celebrations. Not only the perfectly planned occasions. The ordinary Wednesday can be beautiful too.
A ROSÉ MADE FOR THE MOMENT
Pale apricot-pink in the glass, Cavalli Rosé opens with delicate aromas of rose petals, followed by flavours of strawberry tops and peach skin.
The palate is lush and softly textured, with a fresh, crisp finish that makes it wonderfully easy to move from the first glass to the table.
It is elegant without feeling formal. Refined without being reserved.
And while it will happily sit alongside oysters, beautiful seasonal dishes and long restaurant lunches, it is just as comfortable next to pizza around the kitchen table, a platter shared between friends or whatever happens to be on the braai.
That is exactly the point.
We didn’t want to create a Rosé people felt they needed to wait for an occasion to open.
We wanted to create one that might inspire the occasion in the first place.
A ROSÉ NEARLY THREE DECADES IN THE MAKING
For Head Winemaker Rianie Strydom, this release carries a particularly personal significance.
“Rosé takes me back to 1997, when I spent time in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. There, rosé was enjoyed morning, noon and night. You would sit down at a restaurant and a carafe of rosé would simply arrive at the table.”
Nearly three decades later, after a career spent making wine, Cavalli Rosé marks the first rosé Rianie has made – making this release an especially meaningful one.
That sense of ease around the table may have inspired the wine, but creating it demanded precision.
With rosé, colour begins in the vineyard and cellar. Picking time was carefully considered to preserve freshness and keep alcohol in balance, while the pressing cycle was managed closely to achieve the delicate pale apricot-pink hue that defines the finished wine.
The grapes were whole-bunch pressed, followed by immediate juice extraction and settling, with a gentle approach maintained throughout the process.
The result is exactly what she hoped it would be: light, fresh and effortlessly drinkable, with generous fruit expression despite being bone dry at just 1.7g/L residual sugar.
“Rosé has always represented lightness, freshness and good times. It doesn’t need to be saved for a special occasion – and perhaps that is exactly why people keep reaching for it.”
It is a sentiment that feels entirely at home at Cavalli.
Beautiful wine, opened simply because the moment feels right.
CABERNET SAUVIGNON MEETS CINSAULT
At the heart of the wine is the meeting of two varieties with distinctly different personalities.
Cabernet Sauvignon lends structure and presence, while Cinsault brings freshness and a graceful fruit expression.
Together they create a distinctly Stellenbosch style of Rosé: polished yet relaxed, fragrant and refreshing, with enough texture and character to carry the wine comfortably from aperitif to food.
It is a wine designed around the way we love to drink wine at Cavalli — generously, socially and around a table.
DESIGNED TO BE SEEN
Of course, with Cavalli, what is inside the bottle is only part of the story.
Wine, architecture, art and design have always existed alongside one another at the estate, and the new Rosé gave us an opportunity to introduce a softer, more expressive interpretation of the Cavalli aesthetic.
The new label wraps a delicate botanical composition around the Cavalli name, combining blush and warm neutral tones with metallic detailing.
Printed on elegant Ice White stock, layered high-build elements and foil accents create subtle texture and dimension.
The finished bottle feels fresh and contemporary, but still unmistakably Cavalli.
Beautiful enough to take centre stage on a table.
Relaxed enough not to demand one.
THE EVERYDAY, ELEVATED
There is a particular kind of luxury that has very little to do with formality.
Fresh flowers on the table.
Bread still warm.
Friends who arrive early and leave late.
A beautiful bottle opened simply because you wanted to drink it.
Those are the moments this wine was made for.
For lunches that become dinners.
For oysters in the sunshine.
For weekends away.
For garden tables and unexpected guests.
For the person who says, “Should we open another bottle?”
And yes, even for Tuesday.
Because beauty shouldn’t need permission, and neither should a good bottle of wine.
COME AND TASTE SOMETHING NEW
The Cavalli Rosé 2026 is now joining the Cavalli collection at the cellar door.
Come and discover it at the estate, pour a glass, stay for lunch and experience our newest wine in the place that inspired it.
Some bottles are saved for later.
We hope this becomes the one you keep reaching for.
