August 29, 2024Redesigning Elegance: Cavalli’s New Wine Labels Reflect a Decade of Passion and Precision
After a decade of refining our offering and meticulously seeking opportunities to elevate our wines and the experiences of our patrons, the time had come to revisit the Cavalli wine labels. Our founder and managing director, Lauren Smith, was the creative brain behind each design, working effortlessly to capture the ethos of Cavalli Estate.
Inspired by a close love for the soil, nature, our gardens, indigenous fynbos, and the majestic Helderberg mountain, the new labels reflect what truly drives Cavalli. Neutral colours were chosen for the white wines, indicating calmness and earth, while the elegant black used on the reds is finished with gold foil to express refinement, elegance, and luxury.
The textured paper used for the labels creates an immersive experience, with the pebbles that emulate the “koffieklip” – an integral part of the Cavalli Estate terroir that helps drain the soil. Fynbos and vine leaves flank the left and right sides, with the silhouette of the Helderberg mountain completing the story. The “Stellenbosch” word mark has been added to the label’s base to showcase our regional pride. The Cavalli horse logo has been refined, remaining strong and recognisable.
The new labels signify what Cavalli embodies – a deep connection to the land, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for creating extraordinary experiences for our patrons.
