This Mother’s Day, treat your mom to an unforgettable dining experience at Cavalli Estate. On May 12th 2024, Chef Lucas Carstens curated a 6-course chef’s set menu that showcases the finest seasonal ingredients foraged from the estate’s own gardens.
The menu features a tantalising array of dishes, starting with a selection of snacks and freshly baked bread and butter. Indulge in starters like avocado with Buddha’s lemon and sea vegetables, followed by a Jerusalem artichoke and date dish with black garlic.
For the main course, savour the mussels with “strandspinasie” and a potato espuma, or the aged beef sirloin with salt-baked celeriac, lardo, and horseradish. Vegetarians can enjoy a delectable alternative menu, featuring artichoke, broad beans, and “strandspinasie” with potato espuma, as well as an eggplant dish with salt-baked celeriac and shiitake.
Finish your meal on a sweet note with a pear dessert infused with saffron, honey, and cardamom, accompanied by petit fours.
